Photographer's Note
The Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium are a group of art museums in Brussels, Belgium. There are six museums connected with the Royal Museum, and two of them (the Museum of Ancient Art and the Museum of Modern Art, Brussels), are in the main building. The Magritte Museum, opened in 2009, and Fin-de-Siècle Museum, opened in 2013, are adjacent to the main building. The museum has an extensive collection of Flemish painting, among them paintings by Bruegel and Rogier van der Weyden, Robert Campin (the Master of Flémalle), Anthony van Dyck, and Jacob Jordaens. The museum is also proud of its "Rubens Room", which houses more than 20 paintings by the artist. I visited the main museum and Magritte. Both were very interesting. Here I liked the view of the Renaissance Adam and Eve and the modern ones. Strange they didn't want to have selfie :). These are Lucas Cranach paintings. I wanted to find something about it but I found out only that Cranach painted 20 Adams and Eves.

Hi Malgo
Very nicely seen photo, a classical Adam and eve in painting alongside a modern real life version. The whole composition and placement in the frame is beautifully chosen. Great result.
Best wishes

J'aime beaucoup cette prise de vue, la posture des visiteurs est presque semblable aux peintures présentées.
Une belle réussite.

Hello Malgo,
An interesting meld of art and daily life. Well framed to capture both couples; the whole makes for a nicely balanced composition. Ideally exposed with superb colours and clarity.

Hello Malgo,
A great museum photo and this couple in front of the painting of Adam and Eve is very well spotted. They also nicely blend in with the other painting in the background, thanks to your POV.

Hello Malgo,
You place the couple perfect beside the head picture of Adam and Eves.
We get a nice view of the painting but also a back photo of the couple.
A nice interior picture with splendid colours and presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice day,
John.

Hello Malgo,
It sounds like all these museums are worth visiting. The last time I was i Brussels (50 years ago) I saw Manneken Pis, which I would be more than happy to skip the next time. ;-) This is nice photo, in the manner that best suites photos from museums. How great if at least one of the real persons had been eating an apple. There is anyway a fine connection between them and the paintings and the light is perfect.
Kind regards,
Gert

Ciao Malgo
J'ai comme l'impression que le jeune couple se transpose dans l'oeuvre d'art mais chacun de son côté. Homme pour homme et femme pour femme. Très belle gestion de l'instant.
Amicalement

Hello Malgo
A good example of how in museum photography it's the interaction between art and onlooker(s) that is important. Here the connection is obvious. I like how the woman seems to want to move on, while the guy wants to linger a bit longer :)
Just taking random pictures of paintings usually is rather boring, this picture certainly is not!
And it's always great to see good old Cranach pop up.

Hello Malgo
This is a scene I like to photograph when I’m in a museum. I must say that in the museums not so many visitors take selfies. The two are real fascinated by Cranach’s Adam and Eve. Did you notice the position of the legs of the two? The seems to have special thoughts.
I remember that I’ve seen several of Cranach’s Adam and Eve in various museums.
Well done
Groet Rob

Ciao Margherituccia

Hi dear Malgo
Very intersing comparison of true Adam & Eve with modern Adam & Eve. Tight and nice cropping makes so reasonable framework, vertical fromat is very nice.
Who is your Adam, Malgo?
All the best and have a good day! Takero

Hello Malgo,
I like the link between the couple and the painting, as suggested in your title.
It's a very well composed photograph, strong f/g triangle, nice sharpness and a pleasing subject.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Greetings Malgo,
I love this shot - I am a fan of Lucas Cranach, but what makes this shot is the mirror of the more modern couple. Great capture with both Eve's having similar leg positions. Nice interpretation of a famous piece of art. Iain
