Photographer's Note

St. Charles Borromeo Church (germ. Karlskirche) is an imperial baroque church in Vienna 200m outside the Ringstraße. It was built by Emperor Charles VI in the years 1716-1737 for his namesake patron Charles Borromeo. The architect was Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach.
The church is nicknamed the Hagia Sophia of Vienna.
