Photographer's Note
The mountain Rote Flüh (2111 m above sea) provides a very nice hiking tour in the Allgäu area. You can start in the town Nesselwängle, walk up to Gimpelhaus, take a break, and continue to the top. During the last few meters, you should be free from giddiness. I illustrated this by adding a border to my photo. All in all, it takes about 2.5 hours uphill and 2 hours downhill. The tour can be nicely combined with a visit to the famous castle Neuschwanstein. Just drive from Füssen toward Weissenbach, then turn right to Nesselwängle.
