Hi Mark,
I like his careless style of walking. The centered composition matches that somehow. The green color is what attracted me at first, and I like how the white sack stands out from the rest.

I like the fact your photography is unemcumbered with rules. You trust your eye, and that's a quality evident in your pictures. This one again, in its minmalism, is showing excatly what you intended to show, which is conveyed by the somber and single hue, and the importance you give this workingman by placing him at the center of both the frame, and your vision as someone socially-minded.

So, you’ve decided for the D70. And it seems well because this image have beautiful tones and a fabulous exposure.
I really like the darkness near the frame all around the photo creating an intimate atmosphere even if it showing a street. That fits perfectly with the introspective look of the man’s face. Probably doing a repetitive gesture in is daily routine and thus with time to think about life.
This image could also stand as a successful example for a centred composition.

This is nice. Very nice. Such a simple composition, but the shot works due to all the elemnets falling into place. I really like the background color as it makes the subject stand out a bit more. The sack he is carrying is a great addition and even if he is right in the middle of the frame the shot appears to be very dynamic. Good work, Mark!

Very centered photo but it looks fine. The color really makes this photo interesting. I am trying to figure why I see a thin stip of brightness about head level in the photo. Must just be the lighting but it looks very sureal! Nice job. PS, you should submit your photostory to BBC news. Another person on TE got a photo on their website.

Very nice Mark. Great colours, and the central comp works here. You did a great job with timing here to get the legs apart in the "walking" stance, I hate it when I go for these shots and get the legs when they're together.
I'm not sure about the title though, it brings up a expectation about what you're going to see (something related with alcohol) that the pic just doesnt have.

that green/blue color is amazing, it gives a kind of D.A Harvey feel into it, it might be only produced in latin America...
Your central compo is accurate because it's quite simple overall and nothing would match with tehpower of that color, anyways... therefore, the staedy angle of his legs is critical too, imagine he was shot the two legs in the same profile, this would have given a too fragile silhouette.

Beautiful, simplish cmpo with the most incredibly vinrant blue. The lighting gives the scene a layer of theatricality that elevates it beyond the mundane - filmic perhaps. Excellent work, Francis
