Photographer's Note
A Porta do Conde é um edifício militar do século XVII que servia de entrada à cidade de Santo Domingo. O nome é em homenagem ao Conde de Peñalva (Bernardino de Meneses Bracamonte y Zapata), quem lutó contra a invasão inglesa em 1655. A porta foi cenário do primeiro ato de Independência da República Dominicana em 27 de fevereiro de 1844, e se içou pela primeira vez a bandeira nacional.

Bonjour Alexandre,
Un cadrage classique mais très efficace. La fortification est magnifique et j'aime la porte monumentale qui permet de voir loin derrière. Belle lumière et grande netteté.

Hello Alexandre,
Great view of the gate, which is almost symmetrical in this great photo. The colours are very appealing and well saturated. The Dominican flag flies proudly on top. I also like the little impression of daily life in the street seen through the arch.

This is a historic site. Santo Domingo is the oldest capital city of the Americas. The flag flapping in the wind completes the composition. Good lighting and sharpness.

The space in front of the Puerta is giving de^th to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the La Puerta del Conde. It is clear and precise. I did not see that area when I took my sightseeing tour of Santo Domingo. Have a nice day.
