Photographer's Note
Eight times the Central park surface, Casa de Campo is an "international luxury resort" with the Dominican Republic made for wealthy people from all over the world.
This luxury condominium started as a local project in 1974 and is today among the most exclusive places in the world. Three golf fields out five of the place are among the best ranked in the world, but also numerous swimming pools, quite a big marina with amazing yachts can be found here. This is a quiet place for some "Happy fews" like Leon Jimenez, the President of the famous Dominican cigar brand or Georges Bush (the father, a golf fanatic obviously).
In spite of the this huge wealthy place in that poor country which faces various economical problems, I have to admit that I discovered that the middle-class was widely spread. Such a place probably attracted a lot of investments and provides large job opportunities for the locals. Even if the difference in the standard of living are incredible, quite a part of the money spent here is valuable for the Dominican people living on services, tourism and building activities.
Most of the villas are located within the Golf fields themselves, some with an amazing view on the Carabean sea. After the end-of-the-afternoon walk, I discovered that a Golf field was a great place to shoot at landscapes, birds, ponds.

Merci.
