Photographer's Note
While the corals of the Caribbean reefs are today somewhat worn and torn, it is still one of the best places to naturally interact with lots of different shark spieces. Here is a Caribbean Reef Shark passing right above my head while diving @ Amberjack Reef in Bahamas.
The photo has been cropped slightly, but is apart from that untouched.
I finally figured out how to get the max sized photo in here, the first post was only 11k. Check it out now. The original scan weighs in at 9.5MB, so theres plenty of more...

This is quite surely one of the truly great photos on this website. I couldn't imagine how you could possibly compose it better and the colours are simply wonderful. Having caught a few sharks and helped with others (up to a 382kg great white a few years back)I really appreciate the beauty of these amazing creatures. My only suggestion is that it might be more appropriate on Trek Nature. My compliments to you on capturing such a great image and thank you for sharing it with us.

Amazing picture !
It must take nerve and confidence to evoluate with sharks in open water and still being able to take a shot at the perfect time, perfect angle.
If I didn't know sharks live in water, I would say it is flying !

It is a wonderful submarine photo. Everything is perfect, the position of the shark right above you in line with the sun, the great blue color and the slights waves and bubbles we can see on both sides of the pic. Talented work for sure. TFS ;o)

Tremendous shot and certainly a place I wouldn't want to find myself. I have great respect for sharks and despise their harvesting and killing but I'd much prefer to see them while I'm out of the water.

Hermosa foto y bien hecha, creo que ha utilizado un objetivo gran angular, pues si no, no se podria captar todo el tamaño del tiburon. No dice que profundida se hizo, ni a que distancia estaba del tiburon, a grandes distancias, la luz en el mar se pierde, a 10 metros de profundidad algunos colores se pierden, que se recobran con la iluminacion como la del flash, pero la potencia del flash, fue suficiente para llegar al objeto?.
