Allow me to post one more boat scene from Ninh Binh. It strikes me that my favourite pictures from this location are not so much the landscape itself (however stunningly beautiful it is), but the pictures of the docks where the boats go after their trip through wonderland.

Yes, Ninh Binh is very well organized.


NINH BINH is a most picturesque area south of Hanoi. Rivers in a karst landscape, rocks and caves. It's like Halong Bay on land. It's also very touristy. And much of the landscape is actually man-made, developped for tourists. It feels like a theme park at times. Still it's fun, if you don't mind the crowds.


THIS PICTURE shows a fragment of the boats in Tam Coc, one of the most popular spots in the area.
