Photographer's Note
Just back from 6 weeks travelling in Indo-China. One of the highlights was a few days in the old town of Hoi An where we happened to be during some floods. Life went on.... these women were able to take their boats right into the streets and tie up at the door steps of houses.

So you are back Ian with a new collection of stunning images. There is usually a way to continue on despite the obstacles life throws at us - in this case the women don't seem too concerned with having to sail to the shops rather than walking. Good action daily life scene. Cheers, Marlene

Hi Ian
Good image, usual Hoi An on the wet day but the spirit is high. Thks to the infor note and this image says it all, a beautifully thoughtful and taken. Quite unique archiecture well seen in good color and fine texture although the day looks bad but the clarity is excellent and great contrast I like the specks of red which standout so good in the environment but he women in conical hats have brough this shot to life! Hello Ian - This is a super DL shot, now if we had floods and all the attendant difficulties we would be fed-up and glum. These dear ladies take it all in stride and simply get on with life! TFS this interesting and well managed capture. I look forward to more from your travels. Best regards Rosemary

Hi Ian
Welcome back, you;ve been missed. I'm surprised you didn't cross paths with Malgo who was also in Vietnam and Myanmar at the same time. What a decisive moment, I hope the floods did not affect the people too badly. Excellent composition, sharpness and perspective.
Thanks for sharing and I wish you a beautiful evening

Hi Ian.
Very good shot of the women dealing with the flood. Good composition/crop includes all we need to see and know; one can imagine the conversation and frame of mind of the women. I wonder if you were standing in the water or on a boat! Anyway, really nice daily life shot.
Regards,
Andrew
