3 photos today from the actual tomb at Tự Đức.
The main one show decorated pillars and arches inside the tomb building. One WS shows detail of the decorations whilst the other WS shows a nearby obelisk although I don't remember its significance.

Hello Ian,
It's an interesting structure surrounding the tomb, although like many other buildings in the area it would urgently need some brush-up work. Since I actually watch workshops, I was very confused until I found them attached to the earlier photo as #3 and #4.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Ian,
I was fascinated by these arches, very well composed in the photograph, so that we get the true impact of how the larger ones travel over the smaller ones.
The nearest arch is detailed with bricks, not seen in the other examples. The decorations would have been stunning originally but need close attention now.
I could not find your w/s so searched the posted w/s to find what you had posted.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Ian,
The point of view is showing the details of this section of the Tu Duc tomb. It is clear and sharp. The light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

the giant tablet and the shapes of the clouds are exactly the same we can see in china, but the space around is different. nice sample of local architecture.

Hello Ian.
A magnificent composition with this set of arches supported by strong columns, which still retain traces of curious paintings, good light and shadow management.
Well done.
Enjoy the weekend.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hello Ian, an impressive structure that fills our screens. I like the point of view with different arches arching in various directions.
The decoration is very unusual and interesting.
I found the w/s shots after reading others comments.
A memorable place.
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi Ian,
From the miniature it seemed as if the walls were simple very damaged but after opening the large version we can appreciate that some patterns are acrually the remains of original decorations.
Quite an extraordinary place.
Great reportage,

Hello Ian,
I love the angle from which you took these arches. I like the shapes, but the water stains and mold are like rotting teeth on an otherwise good looking person.
Regards,
MT
