Photographer's Note
Another stoplight in Hanoi. Actually, despite what many other travelers may report, I really like Vietnam's cities. And yes, that's my shadow taking this pic...

It looks like the motorcyles are giving the bicycle a head start :-) This is a good capture of the hussle and bussle of Hanoi's rush hour traffic...how many rows back does the lineup go?Through the faces we see in your photo we can almost feel their thoughts of planning which route they will take once the light turns green.
This is very much like the lineup for a mountain bike race when hundreds, and sometimes thousands, all dash off at the same time.

A great shot of Vietnam. It looks an interesting place. I like the unofficial uniform, of black bike and white shirt. Your shadow is a nice touch, as one of the men is looking directly at you. Well captured, Caleb.

I remember scenes like this one very well, crossing a street in Vietnam it is a lot of fun...
and the picture is nice, I think I see your shadow on the ground... but I think a person standing or crossing the street in front of those bikes would help a lot, now there is an empty corner... so I really miss a human presence in this empty corner...
anyway, it is a nice document

Incredible !! I'm not used to such a scene. At the first sight in the thumbnail, I thought it was the start of a race.
Other country, other habits..

Great shot of a typical Vietnamese city street. You don`t often see them stopped like this. The first time you try to cross the road is really scary. I bought my first digital camera in Saigon and tried to take shots like this. Yours is much better.

the perspective in this picture is very nice, it feels as if there are no ending to how many scooters there are. the light also makes the picture very interesting.
great every-day pic.
