Photographer's Note

I love it when a requested street portrait comes right. On approach we are never sure what response to a request for a portrait might be from a complete stranger. A refusal can leave you feeling flat and unsure for next time. But sometimes it all comes right as it did here even without eye connection; just walk up say hello and tell you would like to take her pic when I made a nodded request to point my lens her way. This 'Cham' woman was only too happy to oblige.

From my walkabout in Katambong Chau Phong village, on the outskirt of Chau Doc town on the Mekong Delta.
