When I first went to Thailand in July I would wear a long sleeved shirt & hat, and use an umbrella to prevent sunburn, which can very quickly ruin a holiday. My mother even tried to wake up people who had fallen asleep on the beach and were badly burned. They didn't appreciate being woken up. Good daily life scene of the tourists who still think they are in northern Europe. They will learn the hard way that the sun in SEA is brutal. There's a reason the locals are dressed modestly. Tfs!

Interesting view of these boat handlers ferrying tourists. Yellow and green details look really nice. Corrugated iron shack in the background gives somewhat different local touch.

The costumes of hats and long clothing are a sensible attire for those who spend a lot of time in the hot sunshine. I wonder how long it will take the tourists to learn a lesson about the effects of the sun!
A well exposed daily life photograph from Vietnam.
I was interested to learn that it was women, steering the boats. It is not obvious because of their clothing.

Women seem to be the main water taxi operators right along the coastal river areas of Vietnam. A good photo of the women at work. I notice that the 2 shirtless tourists in the rear taxi don't look overly happy about it all.
