Photographer's Note

The Vietnamese call Mekong Delta their ‘rice basket’ and it's harvesting time when the vast rice fields turned golden. As can be seen, it's a back breaking task ahead working in hot humid condition by the look of it, working the fields manually by the tireless hardworking farmers is indeed a great challenge. This fertile flatlands produce much more than rice actually ; plenty of coconuts, mangoes, pineapple, durians, bananas, sugar cane and more are grown there.

An interesting insight into hard way of life away from our doorsteps on how they get that bowl of rice... .
