Photographer's Note
Only three hours left in 2018, I can make a summary.
It was a good year for me.
1. The most important, I enjoyed good health. it is important for everyone, but especially for the old person who travels with backpacks.
2. I have a new daughter-in-law.
3. When I was not travelling I could work (with no work, no travel).
and 4. I traveled a bit. I make five excursions, each of them in a different way.
a. With one friend to New Zealand- pure nature, beautiful landscapes, fabulous forests, almost no people but many sheep, no especially interesting architecture.
b. With my husband by car - in Poland.
c. With the big organized group in Balkans - to visit a few places that would be difficult to reach individually - Rila, Ohrid, Matka Gorge.
d. Alone - in Uzbekistan, fabulous architecture, many contacts with the locals.
e. With the small organized group in Gambia and Senegal - fantastic people, interesting nature, no towns.
Altogether I visited 11 countries, in them 5 new ones.
I traveled by planes, trains, buses, taxis, ferries. 72 000 km!
How it will be in 2019? I have quite ambitious plans :).
There are two big blue domes of the Miri-Arab madrasah towering above the surrounding buildings in the center of Bukhara.

Dobro vece.
Lep pogled i trenutak, interesantan i dobar tekst ...
Dobar rad sa lepom fotografijom u radionici, lepo pokazano, dobar kontrast, lepe boje, lepo uhvacen trenutak.
Lepa fasada i detalji, lepa arhitektura.
Zelim vam lepu i mirnu noc, sve najbolje u novoj godini koja dolazi, srecno.

Oh Malgo,
there is a bit of envy, I have to admit.....
For me, 2018 also has been the year of many excursions, but none of them as far away as yours. But I'm glad that "far" nowadays is not the most important feature of my journeys. Something has changed for me in 2018, and that is my firm belief, only a SLR camera can satisfy my urgent need to take photos. It was the first year my beloved and very expensive Canon SLR stayed at home and I only used a small Powershot and the smartphone.

What a fantastic feat for anyone of any age to complete so many travels in just one year! But life is for living - and you are certainly living it to the full!

Hello Malgo,
We have both survived the transition into 2019. That's worth celebrating! So you say you have ambitious plans for this year? As if you were not ambitious enough in 2018. These photos are all proofs of your ambitions. Three fine shots in a beautiful light and from different angles of this fantastic building. In 2018 you saw mainly architecture in Uzbekistan, nature in New Zealand and people in West Africa, beautiful experiences everywhere but of different kinds. How can you possibly beat that this year?

this is definitely a better 2018 summary than I can draw as I had to mourn five persons closely related to me, including my mother-in-law and the only brother-in-law.
Travelling was therefore severely limited - but I will retire from work in 211 days hopefully, and then...?

Ja jak juz czytalas na FB odkrylem ze jednak dalsze podroze rujnuja moj budget wiec na ten rok mam nadzieje na jakies mniejsze tansze wakacje. Martwi mnie troche brak pomyslow na wycieczki lokalne.
Doskonala fotografia. Nie tylko architektura powala na kolana ale rowniez bardzo atrakcyjne swiatlo.
Nisko wiszace slonce oswietla cieplymi promieniami te najciekawsze elementy reszte pozostawiajac w cieniu.
Nic dodac nic ujac.
Uzbekistan zdecydowanie jest na mojej liscie :)

credo che puoi essere molto soddisfatta del 2018, hai visitato più nazioni tu in un anno che io in 50 anni....
Ma, come dici tu, l'importante è la salute, a qualsiasi età.
Ti auguro con tutto il cuore di poter vivere un 2019 come l'anno che si è appena concluso, credo che sia un ottimo risultato.
Queste foto sono il frutto di tante ore di viaggio, di lavoro, di sogni, di voglia di conoscere e condividere.
Spesso ci limitiamo a criticare la foto, senza pensare a cosa c'è dietro a ogni foto fatta da chi viaggia, se consideriamo tutto, ogni foto, anche la più brutta, è sempre bellissima.
