Taken from a view point near village of Urgut, 30 km south of Samarkand. It is taken in colour but Queen Auturm decided to convert everything into sepia...

Nice view of this unfriendly (atleast it looks that way) landscape. Looks like from a different world. The colour tone are excellent. I like the light and shadows here and the amount of details.
The road that leads into the picturein the back gives depth and perspective.

Nice lanscape, with really astonishing colors.
I thought first that the sharpening made on thes image was excessive, but I finally like the effect it gives on the bare trees.

A strange, dry landscape, yet intereseting to look at. I like the composition.

The road in the distance must be the road from Samarkand to Shakhrisabz, isn't it? I must have missed you by a week! Where did you stay in Samarkand?
Great photo. The countryside looks excactly like I remember it. I always try to avoid having my own shadow in the photo, but when I see yours I actually think that it gives a nice personal flavour to the photo.
