Photographer's Note
About an hour drive north of Bangkok is Ayutthaya City. Better known as "The Old Capital". The city was Thailand's capital from mid-14th century until the late 18th century. The Burmese destroyed most of the buddist temples during the war. They also pillage and looted all the temples treasures and gold artifacts. This is what's left of Ayutthaya City. Admission fees for the Ayutthya Royal Palace is 30 Baht for foreigners (10 Baht for local Thai). Here is a picture of one of the three Chedis.
