Photographer's Note
While I was waiting for the traffic to pass so I could get a shot of the huge line of taxis across the road, I got this shot. I was up near Taipei City Hall, very close to Taipei 101. Police often direct traffic at rush hour. This was around 5-6pm. Each road at the intersection had at least four lanes for cars plus all the scooters.
I got two photos of the cop, one with the bus in the background. The other one was a little sharper so I cut and paste in eyes, jaw and jacket. Cropped out a pedestrian on the left as well. 400 ISO, 149mm.

I like this a lot, the motion blur of course but also the combination of colors where his orange bands makes him stand out from the green. The people at the left and some reflections in the bus windows makes an almost weird extra dimension to it.

I agree with Ebbe..I did not understand why noone saw this picture..this is a very good motion blur..I liked the very crisp policeman, hand dissolving into the motion...only I would maybe crop the left part..as that's another sharp visual in the picture, it takes away the stregth of the oliceman a bit..(maybe I am too plain yet :)..anyhow, thanks...

great shot! that green in the background is amazing! i have noticed you have left the little cute girl´s feet out of the picture as well as this cop´s... i´m looking forward to seeing more of your work, welcome to TE!!

Very nice. Perhaps a slightly faster shutter could have kept the bus blurred and the officer a little sharper. Good job with the cut & paste -- I'd never have noticed it.

I didn't notice this shot before. I just rated your cell-phoner shot on the scooter. This one is great for the motion and people who seem to be immaterial ... Very nice and strange. I like it very much. And the colours are great. Did you take this shot the same day you took the other one ?
