Photographer's Note
The rainy season has arrived. Every year about this time is monsoon season in Korea. It lasts for about a month, although Seoul has been rather dry this year. Climate change? Anyway, it did rain on Saturday morning and this was shot from a bus going down south. I had to go to Jinju for my wife's grandmother's birthday and I just arrived home now.

Hi Rafal,
This is simply amazing. You have created a piece of art apparently from almost nothing. You have great eyes my friend. This one is beautifully captured with great colours. Superb details.

I remember you telling me about the monsoon season, and you have documented it well in this photo. It's a good effect this, and yours is probably the best of this type.

Hi Rafal.
Judicieux, bel impact.

Hi Rafal,
Your focus on the raindrops on the glass makes the blurred lights and shapes of traffic look like abstract art. The bright colours and raindrops together create a very lyrical mood, which I'm afraid I cannot articulate properly (at least in the morning;) but which I had a lot of times walking in a city in a rainy day.
Cheers

Hi Rafal,
this is really beautiful! I like the abstract of the train in the centre. Great colours and lightreflections. And the raindrops give the image a special mood.
Nice work,

Witaj Rafal.
No swietne.
Swietne kolory i tonacja.
To jest klimat.

Hi Rafaj,
From the thumbanil we can easily guess the buses, striking colors (with the larger version, the statement is les obvious). What is working here for me (beyond the waterdrops) is this red colors 'flooding' in the bright and dark blue 'water'.

Dear Rafal,
Great shot behind glass.
Raindrops..on glass creating own mood & art.
Buses in bokeh & fuzzy lights ..
Beautiful work Rafal.
TFS,
Shailendra
Hope, soon we can see sort of same concept from Francis. (He just bang it, really impressive going throught plastic sheet in rain, when I saw it on his LCD)

Hmm, reminds me of long days sat watching the rain outside, unable to go out and play...
Great sharpness on the water and everything else is just a blur.

I like this very much. I have taken some photos like this myself last January but never really though uploading them. I guess I am still to 'young' around to try something like this. Anyway, your note says it all and for me this really belongs here. The photo is an hymn to color and you know I love that. The bookeh is gorgeous. In my session I also made some photos with a smaller aperture to let the subject emerge a bit more. Maybe you wand to try that also. But the abstract feeling is very good here. Love it!

Love the sharp raindrops against the different colour shapes in the background.
Again you bring out the beauty in everyday life, (although I'm not sure this would work on the no. 100 to Manchester via Eccles!)

Hi Rafal,
I enjoy this abstract work a lot! It's not exactly that 'informative' ( I cant really see whats going on...) but the atmosphere is great and illustrates the monsoon season well. I'd say this is a stylish 'documentary'. TFS.

Dear friend,
I love the interaction between the abstract color display and the concrete water droplets, each of these planes being somehow wonderfully enhanced by the other.
Beautiful work.

OOooooo! I like it. Its not really the dark moody pictures of rain you normally see, but extremely colorful and bright. I love that its abstract..but real. A great big green smile all over my face. Nice job.

Hi Rafal,
a slike Francis has said - we see just enough... you did a great job here not only with DOF, but also with colours and textures!
I can almost see this one in a large print hanging in my living room (opposite to my favourite leather chair)!

A piece of art. Very Jinjuesque. Love the light flickering in a half-diagonal in lovely golden bokehy circles on the right.
Gorgeous!

Hi Rafal,
You really capture the sense of the monsoon rain, I can almost hear the sound of the rain. As others have commented, the colors make the shot unique from an ordinary "raindrop shot" and For me that is what gives the immediacy of "being there."

Beaufitul shot with a nice focus on the window making the outside world so blurred it becomes colorful flares and forms. The rain drops are very sharp and the whole picture just look like a moody postcard, something poetic and abstract.
Makes me think of this joyful and free abstract movement that happened just after the second world war with artists like G. Mathieu and so on. Beautiful and amazing.

Hi Rafal,
I like here your outstanding work on the bokeh, I haven't tried such views but I can imagine having the right focus on the droplets wasn't that easy, result is good (better near the center) and the blurred city lights give a very nice background.
Have a nice day,

Hello,
Excellent contraste.
Bien vu.

Hi Rafal, the colors are awesome but I wonder if a deeper DOF wouldn't help a little bit. When we see the thumbnail it is easier to see the buses, but when it is in real size it is hard to distinguish... I doesn't say it's bad, depends on the result you want to show, taking it as it is, this is an beautiful artistic picture.

Hola Rafal.
Excellent composition, the rain drops on the glass and the blurred colourful DOF. This picture express very well that the monsoon season already started in your home land.
Very good shot.
Well done.

Lovely natural abstraction which holds enough of the scene to give a sense of atmosphere - really gives the sense of the busy bustle of the city . nice work.

Witaj Rafale,

I've become quite an admirer of your work Rafal; I dont usually like abstract/minimalist art but you seem to have a knack for capturing its meaning...
Also, I have been living in Seoul for 4 years now and I find little here that inspires me, yet you find and document inspiration all over this confounded city!? How is that?!? Through your eyes, I am just now seeing Seoul for the first time and I really really like it. Leaving technomart today, I found myself on the subway trying to visualize it all the way you do. Thank you for that......
Anyway, on to this photo! It grabs me instantly, its cold yet inviting, I easily lose myself in its simplistic complexity. It's something I would never think of....
