Photographer's Note

I had been to the Newton Circus Food Hawker Stalls and decided to walk back to my hostel. Singapore is actually a very walkable city, if you can bear with the heat, and since this was at night it wasn't too bad. Besides, this was my first time in Singapore, and I wanted to see the city, even at night. On my way I found this pedestrian overcrossing and I enjoyed the play of light and color, not to mention the flowers. Back home this would have been an uncovered boring steel structure; this was something different. I guess I should have waited for some people to cross to bring more life to the picture. For the locals: If I remember correctly, this structure crosses Timah Road close to the KK Women's and Children's Hospital.
