Photographer's Note
View of Vasiliev Island from the Tuchkov Bridge. Makarov Embankment is the street that runs along the bank of the Little Neva. I believe the church is the Russian Orthodox St. Catherine's. The photo shows a wooden angel atop the cupola. The angel was taken down not too long ago, to be replaced by a figure made of something more permanent.
