Photographer's Note
This is, in fact, a very popular shot - as they say, there are tripod marks at that location. However, it's postcard quality moved me to take it. The Church of Savior on Spilt Blood (named for the place where an assassination of one of the Tzars took place) with the St.Petersburg spring sky in the background is reflected in Griboedov Canal.

This is really a church that is worth taking a picture of it. Unfortunately it is too dark to really appreciate the details. There is also a little tilt of the building to the right and there are some electric wires that would need to be removed. I tried a WS since you enabled this feature and I tried to do something about it, but not perfect, just to give you an aidea how it could be made brighter.

Nice composition, but like most people have said,the picture is too dark overall. But also the church is in the shadow, which really doesn't help. I have posted a less radical Workshop as an alternative to ninadev's.

Nice shot! I'd consider rotating it about 1.36° CCW to straighten the verticals though, and I'd also consider using Contrast Masking to bring out some more detail in the shadow areas. I've posted you a Workshop to illustrate my ideas :-)

I like this very much. In Photoshop you could remove the overhead wires by by cloning. Also, a bit more light wouldn't hurt.

There are some possible improvements to make it more attractive, if you allow workshop option in your profile. The subject really worth it. Later... just seen you've allowed WS. I have one ready. Will post tomorrow, as my allowance is out for today.

Hi Michael,
This is very nice! I like the nice blue color and the unique reflection.I felt some tilt right - but it is easy to repair.
