Photographer's Note
I had known that long pedestrian street, crossed the Gorky Square, where there was a big statue of the preferred writer of Stalin, the same who swapped the name of the city to Gorky during the Soviet times.
I was wanting to visit a museum filled with many old timber houses, but it was so far and then I decided to visit a church listed in my book-guide, but I never found it, while walking in the outskirts I saw some nice old timber houses, some churches and ruins.

Eu tinha caminhado por toda a extensão daquela rua de pedestres, cruzei a Praça Gorki, onde havia uma grande estátua desse escritor que era o preferido de Stalin, não por acaso ele mandou mudar o nome da cidade para Gorki, algo que perdurou durante o regime soviético.
Pretendia conhecer um museu onde havia uma coleção de antigas casas de madeira, mas ficava muito longe, então decidi caçar uma igreja que estava na lista do meu livro-guia, mas nunca a consegui encontrar. Enquanto andava perdido pelos subúrbios, encontrei algumas igrejas, lindas casas de madeira e construções abandonadas como essa da foto.

Jorge, that old wall in red bricks looks neglected. There are sentences in Russian cyrillic. The grafitti depicts a personage with an expression of suffering. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hello Jorge,
You didn't quite get lost this time, but you saw places you hadn't intended, which I personally always enjoy. I must admit I don't quite understand the meaning of the sentence, but it doesn't matter. The white letters are a graphically nice complement to the drawing of the face, and the old brick wall provides a perfect background.

In a large, historical city, you can always find unexpected features, even ones down an unintended street!
Malgo is so knowledgeable on places and languages, I'm glad she was able to help.
This graffiti shows a tormented face. I don't enjoy looking at it but it certainly has an impact!
