Photographer's Note
The Trans-Mongolian stops for 30mins around midnight at Barabinsk, Siberia between Omsk and Novosibirsk. Time to stretch legs and buy a snack. The weekly China ran Trans-Mongolian leaves Moscow for Beijing every Tuesday night at midnight, covering the 7621km/4735 miles taking 6 nights. This train crosses Siberia and Mongolia before entering China at night and arriving Beijing late morning.
The full route taken in 14 days was London to Tokyo via, Eurostar train, Paris-Moscow Express train, Trans-Mongolian train, Beijing-Shanghai bullet train, Shanghai-Osaka passenger ferry, Osaka-Kyoto commuter train and Kyoto-Tokyo bullet train. 14 days with stop-overs in Moscow, Kyoto and Tokyo.

Hi Sky,
a superb presentation, kind of from Agatha Christie's novel about the Orient Express. Lovely atmosphere, I wish I could be there, actually this trip across the Siberia stands on my travel list at very high priority to make it happen. I wish you could describe more in detail the experience after the completion of your travel. So, keep in touch. Great light management and the image format suits nicely the scene.

What I really like about this shot, is the warm light shining out from the open doors of the train, how inviting this is within the grey cold of the rest of the frame. Excellent picture from an intriguing location.

We feel the cold air during the train stop in the station, and I like the warm orange areas of the doors entrance contrasting so well with the overall grey aspect.
