Photographer's Note

Super-heavy artillery in the courtyard of Artillery museum in Saint-Petersburg: 305-mm Br-18 howitzer and 210-mm Br-17 gun. Design based on the ideas and documentation of Czesh firm "Skoda", made in Russia in 1939 in Stalingrad. Br-18 howitzer had maximum range of shooting 16 kilometers by the 330-kg shell. Br-17 gun shooted at 29 kilometers. Each gun had crew of 50 persons. Total amount of these guns made for russian army before and during WW II is still unknown, but there were tens of them.
