Gone fishing? Not really. These are fishing stacks and nets. This photo was taken from Doljo beach at Panglao island in the Philippines. Fish is pretty common food in the Philippines with its around 7000 islands. At the markets you can find many and often very colorful species of fish.
Many times small fishing boats are used but sometimes you even see these older methods, the stacks near the shore with probably some fishtraps nearby or with nets as can be seen further in the distance.
As you can see the water is shallow for a long distance and very clear as well. Around Panglao some very good diving spots can be found and even whale watching is possible. Both I have not tried but hopefully will be able to do so in the future.
If you try to find Panglao on the map look for the Bohol province and just south of the main island.
In the background you can see the hills of Cebu Island which are about 25km away.

I like this very much. It has a surreal quality to it.I love the light and colours. Its nicely framed too. Don't understand why you don't have many more points for it.

Deze bijna abstracte foto valt me op binnen je Filippino gallery, die ik met bijzondere aandacht bekijk. De Filippijnen, dat is één van onze kandidaat-bestemmingen voor volgende zomer.
Wat ons een beetje tegenhoudt (we moeten in juli/augustus gaan), is de kans op tyfoons. We hebben daar dit jaar in China al een voorsmaakje van gehad en dat was niet zo leuk. Enfin, als het zover is, val ik je misschien nog wel eens lastig met meer vragen.
Je foto's spreken alleszins erg aan om te gaan. Mooi, mooi, mooi!
