This is one of the pretty close-to-nature scenes I like seeing whenever I get to visit provinces in the Philippines. I've always wondered how nice it would be to live in one of these houses, how looking out from one of the bedroom windows with a view of the fish farms and smelling the albeit salty fresh air would be... definitely way different from the view from my bedroom at home in the city.

I took this shot while waiting for lunch with the rest of the family in a restaurant in Bonuan, Pangasinan. Bonuan is home to the tastiest milkfish ('bangus' in local dialect) that is now very popular served as 'boneless' and fried. Every visit our family makes to my mother's hometown warrants a trip to this place, for some good lunch and a breath of fresh air. And of course, we bring home lots of boneless 'bangus' on the way back.
