Photographer's Note

We just came down trekking from Mt. Puguis's Lake Dafub. And as we were heading to town on the SUV, we saw the sun rays escaping the clouds off Mt. Amuyao.

It was a definite stop-shoot but my partner was averse to any other stop. So, being mobile and with a blinking battery with one frame left, I only had one sure shot. I tried a second shot but my camera went dead and this was the only result.

Barlig is one of my favorite mountain spots as it is a well preserved ecological community. The people of Barlig do not cut their Pine trees for commercial reasons but, just use what they need. Truly, a model of self-governance. The Fialikians are a warm and friendly people. I have been there thrice in a 4 month period.
