Natural scenery around the way to Mt. Pinatubo looks like a prehistoric landscape. The volcano exploded 23 years ago. The hills along the road are huge layers of soil, dust and stones that landed here after explosion. Flowing water is eroding sediments and carries them down into the valley. It is dangerous to travel here in the rain.

This is a spectacular wild landscape . This is also an excellent composition with the presence of the 4X4 , that adds interest to the scene .

Hello Jan,
I remember the eruption of the Pinatubo in 1991 with an unprecedented huge ash cloud. There were many victims and many people were forced to flee to other places in the Philippines.
Slowly the landscape becomes green again.
Beautiful view through this 'canyon' with the beckoning mountain peaks on the distance.
