Photographer's Note
These are cooked rice. Cooked inside coconut leaves. Originally invented in Cebu, Philippines. We call these "Puso". Pronounced "Poo-soo". The size of a tennis ball. These are being sold on the dusty streets in towns and cities of Cebu. The covering of the coconut leaf serves the purpose against the dust. Hanged high enough on a bamboo pole so that the dogs on the street can't reach it. It will last for four days. Out of the 7,200 islands in the Philippines, Puso can be seen only to five islands; Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor, Leyte and Negros only. My favorite, everybody's favorite!
