Photographer's Note
The sun is about to set and the fishermen finished harvesting the milk fishes. The milk fishes will then be placed in plastic containers packed with ice and transferred to the wholesale market place. Milk fishes were harvested by hand using nets and small solid wood boats without outriggers. A lot of times fishermen will have to dive into the muddy waters to untangle the nets. In the picture you will notice bamboo stakes and nets separating the ponds. The other pond contains prawns! There is an earth barrier in between those nets and bamboo stakes. The nets and stakes are set higher to prevent fishes and prawns mixing in case the water level goes up during a storm. The milk fish is the Philippines? National Fish. The fish scales are white and the meat is white.
The City of Malabon is in Rizal Province, Philippines. It is my home town, this is where I grew up. Malabon is part of Manila?s Metropolitan Area. It is only approximately 11 kilometers north of Manila and Manila Bay lies west of Malabon. The City is a commercial fishing and fish farming center.

Andre, this is a great human condition / daily life photo, with splashes of colour in an otherwise threatening situation, weatherwise that is.
You have cropped it will, with just enough sky, and all of the action in the foreground.
Any photo with fish will get a comment from me, I am addicted. Please post more.
Happy New Year to you.
