Photographer's Note

Rice harvest is done, and the next activity is threshing (to separate the rice grains from the stems). Farmers are shown struggling to move a mobile thresher beside the harvested crop. Once positioned, the farmers will place the harvested crop into the thresher, and the machine will then do its work.

This is unlike in other countries where harvester machines do simultaneously the cutting and threshing of crops.

A carabao or cow is usually used to pull/move this mobile thresher. During this particular
day however, I noticed that the farmer's carabao was already in a mud bath not far from this scene. Maybe the farmers didn't want to disrupt the carabao's bath, so they decided to move the thresher themselves.
