A farmer and his trusted carabao plowing the fields:
Farmer: Ok pal, let's do it!
Carabao: No problem! Pull me and I'll pull you!
November is usually the start of the 2nd planting season in the northeastern part of the Philippines (Cagayan Valley region). Here, a farmer still uses traditional means to plow his fields. Was surprised to see the farmer pulling the carabao's tail, while the carabao didn't mind it at all.

An activity that if it happened in the west, there would be an outcry of cruelty to animals!
Nice to see a snapshot of life like this, which is well composed.
If anything (and only a minor point) the horizon could be levelled a little.

C'est un contre-jour très correct avec une belle scène humoristique en silhouette avec les champs de riz argentés en back-ground.

You know,I love the fields,all kind,specially the rice fields,and your shot has an amazing think,too,2nd planting!for rice?!very intresting,weather allow them in that region for this,in Iran,I think only one time for rice occure,now weather is cold and not suitable for rice in Iran.and you show the new thing about world to me,and I'm thankful for this.really,is it rice field,in this shot?some elements say it's true,or am I wrong?!
still,I add this great shot to theme,hope you like it,...very strong,with a nice depth,and specially the light result on surface of the field is fine,very well captured and nicely composed,...You did great,Alford.

This is the kind of rural scene I really like to see.
I think I would have cropped the top of thie image to be able to cncentrate more on the real scene...

Great Shot Alford and perfect POV. Reflectiov has made water look almost B&W, which's looking great with all greens occupying rest of the frame.I feel mountains should have been included or excluded fully, as it makes the picture feel like cut abruptly. It's nice to see they don't use sticks to drive Carabo in philippines :-)
