Hi Ben,
I'm one of the many passengers who ask for a window seat. I like a lot the simplicity of the shot and at the same time the overall quality. Beautiful view indeed.
Regards,
Carlos

Hi Benedict,
I never thought that it was possible to get such great photos from an common airplane seat before I joined TE. It's true that the clouds are usually inviting to the eye, but the light conditions, the tendency of the window glasses to be "lackluster" and the difficulty in getting a good POV don't make things easy. You have here a perfect compo and an image with great clarity.
It's clear your home sickness, when I saw it I thought that you were back to Filipinas. It's said that there is a Portuguese word - saudade - that can't be translated to any other language and it could be the title of this photo. It is more than home sickness, it's a kind of sweet melancholy for past times and the distant home land. Just for the sake of coherency, here you have a Cape Verdian song named Sodade. So, it seems that in Cape Verde creole there is a translation, but Cape Verdians are so alike Portuguese, namely in their emotions and, like ourselves, they are a people of emigrants.
Regards,
José
