Photographer's Note
This is shot on one of the few islands I would genuinely state as the last paradise on earth. it is called Malapascua, one hour bangka (local boat) ride off Northern Cebu.
Malapascua beaches have nothing to envy touristy Boracay, but the big plus is that there are few lodges and NO cars. The official transportation is biking.
You can cross the inside island walking through sand path and meet someone, as this boy going to school, that will smile and talk with you. The filipino philosophy of living is enjoy and take a good laugh whenever possible. That's a smooth and easy living in the Phils, the most latino country in Asia, no wonder why so many europeans try to settle in the country.
Unfortunately, the Phils have been a target for hostage kidnapping in the recent years, therefore devastating the tourism industry.
It's time to come back to the Phils and to support the most attaching people in Asia, it won't take more than 3 days before you become part of a family.
BTW, if you look carefully at this image, there's a sign saying that this corn field is for sale : "contact Boy Pascobello", I let you write down his phone number, if ever...

Edited after your Qs :
Sort of, Cedar, it's Forte Chlorobromide print paper with a selenium toning, hence the warm tones.
Exactly Fil, he ducked to escape from the shot, but 28 mm lens did the job. see how those paths are narrow, I was leaning against a fence, couldn't go back more, had to choose either cut the wheel or no sky...

The boys face needs to be sharper focused... BUT EVERYTHING ELSE ROCKS, so I can't help but call this a big smile shot. I love the tone. Is this one of your special prints scanned? I can't remember what kind and too lazy to go check it out.
The composition here is so amazing, the arrow of the fences... big triangle of fence and trees... boy at perfect spot in teh shot, everything so super clear... NICE!

Luko...why did you cut off the front wheel? Anyway, great photo. I like how the kid is looking up, very natural. Seems like he was trying to duck underneath your camera and not be in the shot...little did he know...
Very nice!

This is great. I agree with Fil that it would be slightly even more great if you had been able to catch him with his entire bicycle in the frame, but the little bit missing does not detract much at all. The strong V shape made by the fence and the expression on the boys face, as well as beautiful toning make this a real winner.

WOW...that's a great shot Luko...I agree with Fil and Darren about the bicycle's fron wheel...but apart of that everything is just perfect on this shot...as it is your notes about it makes us understand it better...Well done!

Something here makes me keep looking at it... There is a wonderful balance, even if the lines cross eachother in the middle.
It's a very attractive photo!...

Great shot. Works excellent in B&W. I think that the not-the-whole front wheel increases the feeling of the motion...

Perfect composition - to me, the cut-off wheel is actually a plus, like the bike is sinbking out of our zone of sight (and it makes the photo look informal when it's actually extremely carefully composed). And then there's the beautiful tones. If you have an exhibition this one has to be in it.

this is one of your best in my opinion...
i think it's because youve managed to somehow maintain a lot of symmetry with the corner of the field here.. the boy on the cycle did the rest..
i notice an hp5 here hehe.. the toning is fabulous..
you know you are one guy on TE who ive been waiting to see a crazy composition from... i mean something that will take everybody by surprise..
most of you compositions are very simple and nice.. they seem quite precise.. something like mccurry (even if you can't hire a boat for yourself hehe ) you seem quite careful with your compositions... you know no cropping here , or there..
i dont think im able to explain myself properly
but i wonder if you'll ever post a crazy , complicated and CHAOTIC composition..
(something that will end up making a lot of people think that you've gone buts :))
take care :)

Congratulations for this symmetrical composition. B&W emphasises it.
