Photographer's Note
This is the team on the final scramble over the granite boulders to Camp 1 on the SW ridge route on Ama Dablam (6856m) in the Khumbu Himalaya.
I had been a long and hard day and everyone was feeling the pace, and this final section finished us all off.
You can see in the centre of the picture the precipitous, knife edged SW ridge that was to be our route up the mountain for the next few days. There is no way to escape the ridge once on it. If you were to have an accident or become ill, there is nothing you could do but down climb the route.

simply don't do it to me, too much in one photo, also the colours are too fade, I would try to focus on the person who sits with the backpack on his back.

Nice and typical mountain scenery, I like the boulders in the foreground. Unfortunately, something seems to be very wrong with the colors, mainly the blue tinge, and the image is not sharp. Is it a bad scan?

Q: 'Why did these men climb the Mountain?'
A: 'Because it was there'
Q: 'Why did I allocate 2 points?'
A: 'Because it saved me the climb' (Thanks)
