Photographer's Note

Granite pinnacles on the South West ridge route between camp 1 and camp 2 on Ama Dablam (6856m).

I was part of the International Ama Dablam Expedition 2004 who attempted the peak in March 2004.

Ama Dablam is one of the most beautiful mountains in the world and will be familiar to anyone who has trekked in the Everest region.

The views from the SW ridge are stupendous surrounded as you are by glaciers and soaring, fluted ice peaks.
