Photographer's Note
Bhaktapur Durbar square is the royal palace of the old Bhaktapur kingdom located 1400 metres above sea level. It is a Unesco world heritage site. The Durbar square is surrounded by spectacular architecture and vividly showcases the skills of the Newari artists and craftsmen over several centuries. On april 25, 2015, the earthquake damaged many buildings in the square. The main temple in Bhaktapur's square lost its roof, while the Vatsala devi temple, famous for its sandstone walls and gold-topped pagodas was aslo demolished. Source : wiki

Hello Miguel,
Another good photo from the centre of this nice little town. I am only slightly disturbed by the motorbike leaning on the wall. But to capture this view you were stuck with it. Cropping the photo could not have been done. I am willing to forget the bike for the view of the beautiful buildings and the warm light.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Miguel,
A delightful photograph, where the low sunlight immediately makes an impact, with its glowing presence on the upper parts of the buildings.
It's so neat, how the eclectic buildings form a boundary, keeping attention in the square, where lots of figures create a warm, social atmosphere.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Miguel
Beautiful image bathed in lovely light. Did you visit before the revolution 2006?
I saw it 4 months before the earthquake and then 10 months after the disaster. The devastation was saddening, even though some buildings, as you say in your previous post, were left undamaged and some were being restored. There is still a lot to see though
Best wishes
Kasia

Hi Miguel,
L'étendue de la place donne de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des l'architecture des immeubles qui bordent la place Bhaktapur Durbar. La lumière fait ressortir les couleurs. Bonne journée.

Hello Miguel,
It is a great view of the square and I really like the different architectural styles of the buildings on the other side, which have all got in common that they are bathing in a lovely warm sunlight.

Hello Miguel,
I saw the scaffolding against the building at the back left and immediately looked at the date you took the photo.
During my visit of Bhaktapur in November 2019, many buildings and temples were also under scaffolding. Sometimes they were supported by wooden posts. Of course, that had everything to do with the severe earthquake of 2015.
The building in your photo had no visible problems at the time of my visit. However there were many other buildings with scaffolding.
I think you took this picture of Dubar Square with the last rays of sunlight on the upper part of the buildings.
Because of that we can see the pretty reddish tones.
The sky shows no clouds at all. It's a pity we can't see in which month you've taken this photo. It seems to be a very good time to visit Bhaktapur.
Best regards, Paul

Hello miguel,
Last sun-rays and you managed a fairly good picture of the big lot and the palace, as the roof on each edifice still shine.
Visitors enliven and animate the scene, also fine clear view of the details.
Have a nice new week,
Ike

Hola Miguel.
Bien hecho. Me encanta.
Que disfrutes de una buena semana.
Saludos muy cordiales.
Luis.

Hi Miguel,
there are a lot of interesting structures around the square so they were either quickly rebuilt or I suppose not all damaged. The good news is that it is still beautiful and still worth to visit.
Challenging light with the sun hiding behind the buildings.
Very well seen and captured,
M
