Photographer's Note
Today's image is a capture whilst exploring the many photographic opportunities that this historic Durbar Square - a landmark in Kathmandu has to offer and from what I hope is a different point of view.
The 17th century Maju Dega, with its red steps of the nine tier plinth structure inevitably was my focus of interest
Setting: 10 mm, 1/15 sec, F22, ISO Raw 100, 1110 hrs

So sad that it was leveled into heaps of rubbles by a massive 7.9 earthquake in April 2015, a national tragedy for all of Nepal and the world to lose treasured place like this both in the form of life and landmarks.......

Bonjour, cher Abmdsudi,
Il y a des trésors qui dorment, il faut les réveiller pour que l'on puisse les apprécier.
Une image pleine de vérité.

Hello Abmdsudi,
Superb view over this ancient square with the red stepped temple making an excellent focal point. The many people nicely distributed about the frame enliven the scene and give scale to the composition. I like the presence of the silhouetted observers and the pillars in the foreground, which help supply depth and perspective.
Is there much anticipation and excitement in Singapore at the moment regarding the anticipated Trump - Kim summit, or is it all regarded as a nuisance and disruption to daily life?

Hello Abmdsudi,
A great photo of this wonderful monument and its large red steps. You captured it from an excellent and original viewpoint, which included the beautifully carved stone columns very well as a dark frame. Very well done.

Hello Abmdsudi,
Good use of the fg wood carved temple to frame the bg Maju Dega with the red steps and a huge pity it was severely damaged during the 2015 earthquake. Tfs!
