Photographer's Note
This is a shot of Cho Oyo (8201m) the sixth highest mountain in the world and the SE ridge of Ama Dablam taken from the SW ridge route.
As you get higher and higher the huge bulk of these massive mountains makes itself apparent, which the foreshortening you experience from the valley hides very well.
This picture was taken at about 6150m and you can see the Imja Khola river many thousands of metres below on the bottom left hand side.
