Photographer's Note
Dattatreya temple is located in the eastern part of Bhatktapur, in the Tachupal tole area. It's about 10 minutes walking from Bhaktapur Durbar square. Consecrated by King Yakshya Malla in 1427 AD, this temple, according to popular belief, was built out of the trunk of a single tree. It was subsequently repaired and renovated by King Vishwa Malla in 1458 AD. The temple suffered only minor damage in the april 2015 earthquake. At its entrance are two large sculptures of the wrestlers, Jaimala and Pata and a metal statue of Garuda on a column, a bird-like divinity.

Hello Miguel,
I can't find anything in this view that has changed at all since many years ago. It looks almost timeless. Apart from the lovely architecture and statues I like the inclusion of the boy walking barefoot across the square and the one siting at the column. I also very much like the fine colours and light and the perfect sharpness.

This is a fine photograph!
The temple is well placed and detailed, with the metal statue of Garuda imposingly positioned before it.
There is a lovely, gentle atmosphere, of people just enjoying the square, in the sunshine.

Bhaktapur was my favourite town in Nepal.
Excellent picture of the most beautiful temple of one of the three fascinating squares in town.
Photos of beautiful buildings or temples in Nepal always produce at the same time beautiful testimonies of daily life in Nepal.
The large statues on either side of the stairs are impressive.

Suerte que esta maravilla de templo resultase con pocos daños en el reciente terremoto, es una preciosidad con sus tres niveles de tejados, magnificas las dos grandes esculturas de la entre, asi como la columna con la representacion de Garuda-
