The frame of the carriage makes an excellent frame for your portrayal of the monk
The face is so interesting!

The face looks old yet the eyes are wide and shining.

Hello Elaine,
I like the elegant simplicity of this composition. Plain colours surrounding the two window frames, one of them empty, the lonely monk filling the other. He looks terribly bored, but being a monk maybe his thoughts are in a higher sphere, high above a delayed train.

That's a classic railroad shot and you did it perfecly, Elaine: the placement of the single man in the frame (frame in the frame), the eye contact, the lookin thru aspect, the typograhy. Fab. Take care.
