Balloons over Bagan
Bagan, more popularly know as the city of four million pagodas and temples, the Birth Place of Therabardha buddhism is located on the eastern bank of Majestic Ayeyawaddy River.
It is only a forty two square kilo meters land which is confined by over 2500 Pagodas and temples.

Great shot here Detay. I especially like the splash of green of the rice field on the left. I'm wondering if you really need the river and the sky in the background and if it had been better to have cropped the picture more so that we could see the temples a little bigger?

Bonjour Michel,

Hey Michel
Now that is a pov. What a perspective from up there. I didn't have the opportunity to take a balloon flight when I was in Bagan. I do look forward to seeing more from your ballooning experience.

Hi , Michel .
VERY interesting to see the landscape where these fantastic temples are situated !
I think the river and the mountains in the background provide information and great depth to the picture . We have seen the temples before , but this photo tells much more !
Kindest regards
Dorte.

Hello Michel,
Very unusual landscape, highlighted by the temples and pagodas. This is an excellent shot of a land I know little about. Moreover, until I looked up the wbsite about the ballons, I did not quite understand that this shot was an arial photo from a balloon and not from a low-flying airplane. Balloons flown in this manner give excellent infrared photos for archaeologists -- shortly after the sun goes down (stones cool off faster than earth, appearing much brighter in infrared photographs, and buried foundation wall can be seen).
I'll be back with a green smiley,
Warm regards,
Bulent
