Photographer's Note

On a tour around the island, which took all of 40 minutes (!), I discovered many parts of the beach where drftwood had washed up. This rather impressive example should probably be called "drift-tree" as it was huge.

I know that some people won't like the fact that the main subject is so central in the shot, but I found the angle the best way of capturing both the beach and the water in reasonable proportions.

Shot in RAW: adjusted levels
Converted to TIFF: adjusted horizon, slight crop
Converted to JPEG: resized & slightly sharpened
