Photographer's Note

Just about all the houses in remote rural villages or islands around this part, have the same dilapidated, barebone structures. Standing on spindly stilts, attap palms for walls and its roofing, and with almost nothing much inside, to have reason for door and windows. But to them,at least they have a place, their children can called home.

Draped on one side of a ramshackle house, is a flag. A flag that represents the political party which governs this country. Maybe to this people, that piece of cloth is something to believe in. And hope. For being a stateless, at least to be recognized and given a place to stay, as another human and in needs, is something to be grateful. For there is a thing which is worst than being homeless.

Stateless.
