Photographer's Note

Most children in the rural countryside and remote islands in Developed and Third World countries probably never heard of breakfast cereals and milk. Some of them, can't even read what is written on the cereal boxes. Much less how to deal with its content.

She just woke up, and just like everybody else in this island or anywhere else remote for that matter, she has breakfast much like her parent does. A glass of warm coffee and a handful of biscuits. No cereal, no milk and no bread. Just coffee and biscuit. Most people here, never heard or seen what is on your breakfast table. Let alone taste it.

It is true there are worst cases elsewhere relatively; starvation, famine, plagues... But just because there are much worst things elsewhere, it doesn't mean what is not so bad here, it's okay not to do anything about it. Sometimes...we just have to look and feel beyond the color of our skin and the believes we harbor in our mind, to do what is neccessary and what's good. It might not be much, but a hell lot more than nothing.
