Photographer's Note
The highest mountain in Kedah is the Gunung Jerai. South of the mountain is the romantic town of Yan. Driving from there for about 20 minutes along the coast there is the Batu Pahat waterfall. At the first look the waterfall is not impressive, there just is some water making its way down a wide rock shoulder, but following a steep trail above the waterfall towards the mountain leads to the actual waterfall. In the middle of the jungle there are water basins where kids play in the cold water. And there you also hear and see the waterfall ...
suddenly are basins washed out of the rocks filled with water.

In the moment my TV set shows me some report from Malaysia, something about Malaysian weddings, a local food, nature etc. And I recall one my collegue from Malaysia, no doubt.
Good illustration to this interesting note.
Original natural amusement.
Have a great new week!

What a lovely and unusual scene, Urs --
the kind people want to share and yet are reluctant also for fear it may get spoiled by too many visitors. Looking at this watery oasis in the jungle, one can almost feel how fresh and wonderful bathing here must be. I
You reveal a lot of insider information abou tMalaysia in your photographs and notes, with many interesting shots of street scenes and vendors, but I think my favorite ones are the ones that showcase people enjoying the nature of the region.
Thank you for all of them :)
Kristin
