Pantai Manis in English is Sweet Beach. While there is nothing tastefully sweet about the beach, it is one beach where it is becoming a favorite haunt for photographers to get sunset work.

Located about 10 minutes drive from Papar, a small town about 45 minutes drive from Kota Kinabalu, the beach becomes "famous" because of the two trees as seen in the photo, which stand together, making them a good focal point or foreground subject for a sunset work.

While one of the trees is just "skin and bone", its neighbor is in contrast, being more lofty and alive, making them both a pretty interesting subject to study.
