Both major streams of Buddhism, Theravada and Mahayana, are prevalent in Malaysia. Both celebrate the birth of Buddha, called the Vesak Day, but on different dates. The celebration shown here is the Theravadan Vesak Day, in a Siamese style temple.

Color balancing is paramount in that type of pix, so the continum of images works well, you did well on that, and it's very rich in tone, but the people are not caught in the most interesting manner, and the tubulars break down the efficiency of the Buddhas pattern. Interestingly enough, they all seem to have slightly different faces.
