Photographer's Note
This beauty has been in the National Zoo for 5 years and she is waiting for a mate to arrive soon.
She was very active and very well aware of her surroundings. She was running around in her confined space and I was awed by this wonderful creature of God which I have the chance to view at close range. However, I am glad I am NOT inside there!
The National Zoo, 13 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur was once a virgin jungle and now it stands like an oasis amidst a concrete jungle. It was officially opened to the public in 1963. The zoo features about 400 species of Malaysian and exotic mammals, reptiles and birds. Of these, the majority are fish and bird species while about a hundred are mammals and the reptiles.

hi Fanny!
this is a very nice picture. very sharp eyes. however, i wish u had managed to keep the whole of the 2 legs in the frame. but then, with animals it is very difficult.
regards,
Nabarun.

Hi Fanny,
how did you get it so clear and sharp ! Perfect portrait of a wild beauty. I´m sorry that she is not in her natural surroundings. But in this case it would be very difficult to get such a photo.
Good job !

Hi Fanny,
Firstly thank you for promoting our National Zoo. All lot of Malaysian do not fancy to go to our own National Zoo with thousand species of animals.
I love the shot. Good take and very sharp. Thanks for sharing.
